Welcome to The Performing Arts Education Centers of Las Virgenes!
Light streams from tall glass windows, like a beacon in the dark. Rhythmic strains of a student-led jazz combo beckon you inside. Music lovers circulate around a display of intriguing sculpture, while the soaring lobbies are flooded with anticipation for the spring musical's opening night in the Main Stage Theater.
At the same time, voices young and old engage in lively debate while enjoying coffee and pastries on the patio. The house chimes can soon be heard above the din, calling patrons to the conclusion of a thought-provoking lecture in the intimate Black Box Theater.
The dream of professional-quality performing arts venues in the Las Virgenes community is now a reality!
The Performing Arts Education Centers of Las Virgenes are the marvelous result of a community-wide commitment to the arts. These theaters will provide state-of-the-art facilities that showcase the enormous talent of our students and bring a variety of top-quality cultural experiences to our community. Lectures, plays, concerts, dance performances and musicals are all part of the experience waiting for you in these amazing new venues.
The Shine a Light Campaign is an opportunity to invest in the power of live music, theater, dance...all of the award-winning performing arts programs that inspire students to reach their fullest potential. By making a gift to The LVUSD Beacon for the Arts Fund, you can see your name on the theater, a seat, or anything in between, and help to ensure that the performing arts programs in Las Virgenes will continue to inspire, teach and motivate students for generations to come.
We plan to raise $5 million - a goal that will enable us to support and expand the performing arts programs for students, and also provide funds for ongoing operation and maintenance of these new theaters, so they remain beacons for the arts - celebrating our students and shining bright in our community.
